Lil Kim, Hardcore - When she dropped her debut album, Hardcore, in 1996, Lil Kim shook things up. She was a strong female rapper with equal parts sexuality and lyricism, and surely capable of making a hit. Kim hasn't dropped an album in almost 10 years, though, and what she has put out often suggests her skills have diminished over time. Trying to peg a sequel onto this celebrated debut wouldn't help anyone. (Photo: Courtesy of Big Beat Records)

Crush on You - We've all had a crush on someone and that's exactly what Lil' Kim's "Crush on You" is talking about. She had some assistance from Biggie and Lil' Cease, but she turned out one of the best hip hop love songs and music videos we've ever seen.(Photo: Courtesy Universal Records)

No Time - Before Sean Combs was Diddy, he was Puff Daddy and Puff was on Lil' Kim's song "No Time." She was a rookie, but she was definitely sounding like a pro. Gotta give her some props for that!(Photo: Kevin Winter/Getty Images)

Breaking Out - Lil' Kim's Notorious KIM album artwork left little to the imagination (per her usual), but we were happy nonetheless. Not to mention that the album (the rapper's second studio effort) reached platinum status back in 2000. (Photo: Atlantic Records)
