Solange is "True"

Don't Miss Solange Tonight on 106 & Park!

F--k the Industry - Following her sophomore LP, Solange released a mixtape titled I Can’t Get Clearance…, which included a bold track “F--k the Industry (Signed Sincerely),” which leaked onto the Internet mysteriously. In the track, the opinionated singer candidly expresses her views on the state of the music industry at the time. Though the mixtape never saw the light of day, the song was released as a single in 2010.(Photo: Splash News)

Back to NOLA - It's no secret that Solange's family has roots in New Orleans, so you shouldn't be surprised that the songstress recently revealed that she was going to relocate to the historic city. Needless to say the city's history, culture and music will probably have an impact on Solange's upcoming projects. (Photo: Rob Kim/Getty Images)

Solange Knowles - With a dress code as vague as “white tie and decorations,” tonight’s Met Gala will definitely differ from last year’s popular punk theme. As we sit on pins and needles, anxiously awaiting this year’s looks (hint, hint: Michelle Obama and Lupita Nyong’o), take a look back at some of the past outfits rocked by your favorite celebrities. By Patrice Peck Solange’s glorious crown was the prefect Afro-punk accessory for this trippy black-and-blue printed Kenzo design at the 2013 Met Gala. (Photo: Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images)

Fashionista - With great influence always comes great responsibility and Solange is always on point, especially when it comes to fashion. Dressed up or dressed down, Solange is always on her A-game when it comes to fashion. Sometimes she's vintage, sometimes she taps into great tribal prints, sometimes she gives you courture and then other times she gives you casual-around the way girl chic. Any way you spin it, Solange and her fashion choices win! (Photo: Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images)
