Kendrick Lamar - At this point, Kendrick Lamar doesn't need an introduction. His debut album has gone platinum, his bars have the entire rap game shaken up and like Nas, he's a serious storyteller that walks to the beat of his own drum. Remember, he is "King Kendrick." Jay Rock - You ain't got to like him, 'cause the hood's gon' love him. Jay Rock is firmly rooted in Watts, with the gruff of a Brooklyn MC and the nonchalance of a No Limit soldier in the '90s. (Photo: Maury Phillips/WireImage)

Jay Rock - Like Kendrick, Jay Rock hails from California, except he's coming straight out of Watts like Tyrese Gibson. He is one of the members of Black Hippy and is coming to the forefront of hip hop after years on the mixtape circuit, so get ready! (Photo: Maury Phillips/WireImage)

Ab-Soul - Ab-Soul looks like Eazy E and sounds like Thelonious Monk. He's so far released two independent albums, Longterm Mentality and Control System.(Photo: Maury Phillips/WireImage)

Ab-Soul - Although Ab-Soul hasn't hit the mainstream yet, we all know that as soon as he does, he'll take off. The rapper has released two successful independent albums titled Longterm Mentality and Control System, and with the run he's on, we're sure he'll be following Kendrick's footsteps right to the top. ScHoolboy Q - The "Collard Greens" rapper has gotten a lot of attention this year because of his smooth flow and because meaningful lyrics really win people over. ScHoolboy Q is the next big thing and his cypher verse proves it. (Photo: Rick Diamond/BET/Getty Images for BET)

Isaiah Rashad - Rappers signed to Top Dawg Ent. have enjoyed more than a little success over the last couple of years. Isaiah Rashad has no plans to be the one to change that trend. In September of last year, after a couple months of speculation, Rashad officially joined the powerhouse indie label. The Chattanooga, Tenn., native is ready to put on for his city, bringing a distinct but fitting flavor to TDE with his sharp rhymes. Expect the 22-year-old to drop a project this year that affirms why he’s in such esteemed company.  (Photo: Maury Phillips/WireImage)

Isaiah Rashad - Rapper Isaiah Rashad is the new kid on the TDE block, and makes a splash tonight in the TDE cypher. Does he live up to the hype? You be the judge. (Photo: Maury Phillips/WireImage)

SZA - Top Dawg Ent. added something new when they signed SZA in 2013. Actually, most things about SZA differentiate her from the rest of TDE: she's female, she sings, she’s from the East Coast. One thing that’s not so different: her undeniable talent. Coming off two EP releases last year, See.SZA.Run and S, as well as a few loose tracks like “Julia” and “Teen Spirit,” SZA is steadily earning her keep. (Photo: Roger Kisby/Getty Images)

SZA - TDE now has a first lady, and no she isn't exactly a femcee; she's a vocalist. SZA brings a lot of beauty to TDE, but her talent and unique style keep all eyes on her. If we're on target, 2014 will be a big year for her, so keep both eyes squarely set on TDE! (Photo: Roger Kisby/Getty Images)
