Lorde - Grammy Award-winning singer Lorde, 17, was forced to cancel her Australian tour due to an unruly “chest infection.” Excited about her six-show tour on her native island, Lorde was reluctant to let fans down; but her parents and team stepped in to impose a break since she had been going non-stop since the Grammys in January. But don’t fret, Lorde has promised her Aussie fans a tour in November.(Photo: Gareth Cattermole/Getty Images)

What's In a Name - Here's Lorde's explanation for her name and how she chose it: "My name is Ella, that's who I am at school, hanging out with friends, while I'm doing homework. But when I'm up on stage, Lorde is a character. My friends actually find that really difficult to digest, separating me from the theatrical character they see on stage [laughs]; but they're getting used to it. When I was trying to come up with a stage name, I thought ‘Lord' was super rad, but really masculine — ever since I was a little kid, I have been really into royals and aristocracy. So to make Lord more feminine, I just put an ‘e' on the end! Some people think it's religious, but it's not."  (Photo: Gareth Cattermole/Getty Images)

The Fame Monster - When it comes to dealing with fame, Lorde says that it's easy at home because celebrity isn't this crazy phenomenon that we see in other places in the world. Plus, she's under 18, so her activities are limited and she claims to just go to house parties and sleep a lot.
