The POTUS Speaks - In wake of the Trayvon Martin verdict and a restless night in America, President Obama shared his thoughts on the tragedy and what Americans can do to handle the situation. See an excerpt below: “I now ask every American to respect the call for calm reflection from two parents who lost their young son. And as we do, we should ask ourselves if we’re doing all we can to widen the circle of compassion and understanding in our own communities.” (Photo: Michelly Rall/Getty Images)

Reverend Al Sharpton Reacts - Reverend Dr. Al Sharpton has been less than silent throughout the entire case and some of his more candid thoughts came out on Sunday: "What this jury has done is establish a precedent that when you are young and fit a certain profile, you can be committing no crime ... and be killed and someone can claim self-defense ... we had to march to even get a trial and even at trial, when he's exposed over and over again as a liar, he is acquitted."
