The Buzz: Solange Slays Paris Fashion Week, Kanye West To Hit Theaters and More
After Twitter activists spoke out against Pharrell's album cover which "dissed" Black women, Pharrell snapped back. He basically set the record straight and let everyone know that there is a Black woman on the cover, but that colorism blinds them from seeing that or even caring. He also asked why the community wasn't looking for more diversity as a whole and for women of all cultures. This now begs the question of whether or not we should seek validation from anyone, especially people we idolize and don't know. Either way, good music is good music and that's what G I R L is full of.
