Thank goodness our girl Mary Jane is coming back for season four! Last season on Being Mary Jane she kept us on the edge of our seats as we watched her get into a car accident, lose her dear friend Lisa to suicide and her interracial love affair fall apart. Whoo child! We were here for all of it!

Being Mary Jane provides African-American women with the space needed to not only grapple with some of life’s toughest issues, but to celebrate all of our victories.

Mary Jane’s been sprinkling her #BlackGirlMagic since the series debuted in 2013 and, according to a report in The Hollywood Reporter, the third season of the show ranks as the No.1 cable series among black viewers ages 18-49.

The good news comes at an exciting time for BET with the launch of the scripted series Zoe Ever After and the second tranche of this season of Real Husbands of Hollywood.
