Mandela's Legacy Through Words

Former South African president, international icon and man of peace Nelson Mandela passed away at the age of 95 on Dec. 6 after months of battling a lung infection and other illnesses. His incredible life story and journey to freedom has inspired authors from around the globe to pen literature that will maintain his legacy for years to come. From his childhood spent in the village of Mvezo to his 27-year stint as a political prisoner in one of the strictest South African prisons and his rebellious fight for freedom, Mandela’s legacy lives on through’s list of books on Madiba’s world. —Dominique Zonyéé
