Who said love would be easy?
Larenz Tate stars as a young, Black Chicago poet named Darius Lovehall who soon makes photographer, Nina Mosley (played by Nia Long) the subject of one of his masterpieces and ultimately his girlfriend.
One night at the local nightclub known as Sanctuary, Darius impresses Nina by naming a poem after her, "A Blues for Nina." Once the lights go off at the club, sparks fly between Darius and Nina and the creative juices begin to flow. Everything seems to go well between the two kindred spirits, that is, until Nina strategically places road blocks along in the path to her heart.
