On Tuesday, May 10, at 7:30 pm, BET will premiere Notorious. The first hip hop biopic stars Jamal Woolard in the lead role and a great cast that blends industry veterans like Derek Luke and Angela Bassett with newcomers like C.J. Wallace, Biggie's real-life son, portraying his father as a young man. The Fox Searchlight film was executive-produced by Sean "Diddy" Combs.
Notorious tells the story of how Christopher Wallace transforms himself from Brooklyn street hustler (once selling crack to a pregnant woman) into one of the greatest rappers of all time through sheer talent and determination. Follow his meteoric rise to fame and his refusal to succumb to expectations—redefining our notion of the American dream.
