Josie Potenza (Halle Berry) is stuck in an unhappy marriage to a Hollywood producer, whose concerns linger more around his work more than her. While on a trip, Josie meets a stranger whose demeanor quickly changes from warm to hostile, leading her to almost kill him. Years later, the stranger turns up looking for her and her husband, but with motives much deeper than revenge.
