The Grammy Darling
During the 1970s, Warwick crisscrossed multiple musical genres, teaming up with other big performers such as The Spinners and Isaac Hayes. At the end of the decade she teamed up with Barry Manilow, who produced her first platinum-selling album Dionne. The two consecutive hit singles, "I'll Never Love This Way Again" and "Déjà Vu," earned her two more Grammys, making the woman from East Orange the first female artist to win the Best Female Pop and Best Female R&B Performance Awards.
