Phyllis Yvonne Stickney as Marva - Stickney may have a flair for this tough mom thing! She plays Bird and Trane's mom in Gun Hill, but you may remember her playing Winston's mother in the film How Stella Got Her Groove Back. Stickney brings a sense of struggle and strength to her character that only motherly instincts can influence.  (Photo: J. Vespa/WireImage)
