Master of the Mix Season 2: Meet the DJs

Hailing from Springfield, MO, DJ P is one of the pioneers of "blending," a style commonly known as the "mash-up." In a world where many hip hop DJs are either technical underground nerds or Top 40 hip hop jukeboxes, DJ P is a blend of both and more. His mix discs have taken on a life of their own, to the point that Rolling Stone called his “Uneasy Listening” a “Top Musical Moment.” He thrives on the raw excitement found in unlikely places like 80s New Wave, classic and alternative Rock, even Drum 'n' Bass, as well as the usual "can't lose" hip hop favorites, old and new. Recently, DJ P started working on a documentary film and can be seen on the turntables each weekend at The Palm in Las Vegas.    (Photo: BET)
