Robin Thicke - In 2002, Thicke made his solo debut with “When I Get You Alone.” Selected as a BET Rated Next artist, Thicke gained some notoriety as the single got moderate radio play and its accompanying music video, which featured Thicke riding a bicycle through New York City with long unkempt hair that become his trademark, cracked the rotation on stations like MTV2 and VH1 Soul. The song was a hit in far off lands like New Zealand but it was not enough to propel his debut album A Beautiful World to mainstream success in the states. (Photo: Scott Gries/Getty Images)
