Born Day - Stokley Williams, born July 15th, 1967, is an American singer-songwriter and producer who began his music career as lead singer of the R&B group Mint Condition. Williams took interest to music at the age of four, playing a variety of West African instruments.

A Special Condition - In 1986, Williams and group members caught the attention of R&B producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, a relationship that would aid in crafting the group’s 1991 release Meant to Be Mint. The album featured their hit “Breakin’ My Heart (Pretty Brown Eyes).”

Going Platinum - Williams would experience platinum-selling success with Mint Condition, as they were the only R&B group with a major label backing. In 1999, they would release their fourth and last studio album Life’s Aquarium before a hiatus.

Working with the Stars - With his prior experience in percussion, Stokley would go on to have a successful career as a session musician working with the likes of Janet Jackson, New Edition, Luther Vandross, Usher and Toni Braxton.

Mint Condition  - In the same year, Williams would also reunite with group members of Mint Condition to release their independent project Livin’ The Luxury Brown, followed by E-Life, 7… and Music At the Speed of Life.

Keepin' It Going  - Stockley would continue on to assist in the creation of projects such as The Robert Glasper Experiment’s Black Radio and Wale’s The Gifted.
