'77 - In 1977, King shared her vocal talents in a work washroom, which caught the ear of producer Theodore T. Life. Taking on the task of coaching the soon-to-be star, T. Life would help land Evelyn a recording contract with RCA Records.

Smooth Talk  - Her debut album Smooth Talk included her only Billboard Hot 100 top ten entry ‘Shame’. Certified platinum by the RIAA, her debut single and second single ‘I Don’t Know If It’s Right,’ would achieve gold-selling status. 

4 - By 1982, Evelyn had released a total of four studio albums with Get Loose being her fifth. The success of the album’s single ‘Love Come Down’ assisted in the albums 2x Platinum certification and allowed her to command the dance and R&B charts.

2007 - In 2007, King returned with a new attitude and album Open Book. Her single ‘The Dance’ peaked at No. 12 on the Hot Dance Club Play chart.

Just Dance - With a collaborative 2011 effort with house music producer Miguel Migs, King’s music is still celebrated on dance floors worldwide. Her timeless hits and singles still provide the right groove to any party and we’re sure the dance music aficionado will be delivering more music soon.
