BET announces the winner of the "Sideline Wrap-Up Host Search" and "Ultimate SuperFan" of The Game: Toni Belafonte of New York City.
(NEW YORK) - March 25, 2013 -BET Networks is excited to announce the winner of the "Sideline Wrap-Up Host Search" and "Ultimate SuperFan" of "The Game:" Toni Belafonte of New York City.
Toni was chosen out of over 200 entries for her obsession with "The Game," knowledge of past seasons and onscreen presence. Toni will receive $2,500, an appearance on "106 & Park" and the title as host of "Sideline Wrap-Up," a weekly online recap of "The Game" that posts to BET.com every Tuesday night following each new episode of "Let's Stay Together."
As host, Toni will tape ten (10) 3-minute webisodes of "Sideline Wrap-Up" that highlight the storyline and character arcs from each episode of "The Game."
"I am thrilled to be the new host of 'Sideline Wrap-Up," said Belafonte. "I've been a huge fan of 'The Game' from day one, and to now be a part of the show is a complete dream come true. Pinch me!"
Top "SuperFan" contest runner-ups are Chelsea Phillips (Atlanta) and Rey Jefferson (New York). A complete list of finalists can be found at BET.com.
Contest entries were submitted online and via live auditions in New York and Atlanta. A panel of BET executive judges chose the final winner.
The #1 sitcom debut in the history of cable TV among adults 18-40 over the past 10 years, "The Game" kicks off Season 6 with its 100th episode on Tuesday, March 26 during a special hour-long premiere from 10-11 p.m. ET/PT. The debut is followed by the Season 3 premiere of the returning scripted comedy hit "Let's Stay Together" immediately after at 11 p.m. ET/PT and then airing at its regularly scheduled time of Tuesdays at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT.
