Malik's Love Triangle

San Diego Sabers quarterback Malik Wright’s bad boy ways finally caught up to him during Season Four of The Game, affecting not only his future on the team but his love life as well.

Following a failed marriage to Robin Givens, the arrogant and cocky Malik engages in a sexual relationship with Parker Keith, the wife of Sabers owner Roger Keith. Malik’s motive is revenge for a back injury that he considers a result of the owner not surrounding him with a talented offensive line. Despite Malik flaunting his relationship with Parker in front of Roger, the Sabers owner is unaware of what’s going on with his wife.

While things with Parker start to heat up, Malik’s personal life quickly spirals out of control. He’s arrested for driving under the influence and assaults a police officer in the process. With his football career in jeopardy, Malik is forced to put his life on hold and enters rehab.

Life in rehab is an adjustment for Malik at first. He struggles with living in a structured environment where he’s not allowed to do what he wants. Clearly frustrated with how things are going, Malik even leaves rehab at one point, only to find his way back in thanks to Jason and Derwin.

Malik doesn’t take rehab seriously until he starts getting attention from Jenna, a supermodel who is trying to clean up as well. Following a heartfelt conversation about change and life, the two appear to be an item. Malik takes to The Mo’Nique Show and confesses to the world that he’s finally found his “true love” in Jenna. If only things were that simple for Malik. When Parker runs into Malik at the club, she makes it clear that she’s expecting their sexual relationship to continue now that he’s out of rehab. But Malik not only cut the alcohol and drugs from his life in rehab but infidelity as well, and he tries his best to reject Parker’s advances. After many failed seduction attempts, she threatens to tell her husband about their secret affair. It’s not until Parker also threatens to accuse Malik of rape that he finally caves and sleeps with her. On the inside, Malik regrets the decision, but he’s left no other option.

The Malik and Parker saga finally comes to a head after he attempts to blackmail her in a bathroom stall at the club. When Malik and Jenna are leaving that night, Parker is outside and reveals to Roger that she was having an affair with his star quarterback. Not only does this upset Jenna, who storms off, but Roger seeks physical revenge by sending his bodyguards after Malik.

Malik is devastated to know he’s possibly lost Jenna as a result of his affair with Parker. If that wasn’t bad enough, his future on the Sabers is in jeopardy after his meeting with Roger.

With Parker out of the picture, will Malik be able to convince Jenna that he’s indeed serious about her?
