"Crusin' down the street in my '6-4," are perhaps Eazy's most prominent lyrics that reference this vehicle. If there's any car that represents vintage American culture, it is undeniably the '64 Chevy Impala. Just looking at one takes you back to simpler times, complete with flannel shirts, Levi's dungarees and Converse All-Stars. With Eazy-E (and N.W.A. as a whole for that matter), those aesthetics were remixed with a brazen gangster vision. The Impala now comes with hydraulics and a booming sound system, the flannel shirt is looser and untucked and those Converse Chuck Taylors are indicative of gang colors. This car goes from being a fantasized vision of the American dream to becoming a symbol of what America fears the most.
