BET.com: You have done a ton of notable guest features in the past. Are there any high-profile collaborations that you would like to speak on?

Marsha Ambrosius: The most high-profile collaboration I’ve done to date would be myself and the late, great Mr. Michael Jackson. I wrote “Butterflies” in 1997 about a boy I had a crush on that worked at McDonald's, and I had no idea that three years later I would be sitting in the studio with the legend himself creating that song together.  It was an amazing experience and I have had many more thereafter.

What can we look forward to after Early Mornings?

More music. Fans can expect more music. 07shenigans  is my Youtube channel where I post all types of crazy things, whether that’s me and my Nintendo Wii, getting my crazy Michael Jackson workout on, or diet tips, or the practical joke of the day. I’m living life and comfortable doing it so I can’t wait to see where everything goes from here.

Will you be continuing your Sextapes series in the near future?

The Sextapes was definitely the first installment of many. Now what I decided to do leading up to the release of the album Late Nights, Early Mornings was do it in increments so there was a four-part series. So I will be slowly but surely dropping volumes of Sextapes part two coming soon..

Do you feel comfortable talking about your friend who committed suicide? What type of message did you hope to convey with the song "Far Away"?

Be yourself, be comfortable in doing so. Those afraid of being, find the ones who are comfortable with who you are and speak out. Because bottling up everything inside and pent-up emotions  and built-up anger, or whatever it is, it festers and it results in many tragic things. I think with "Far Away," I tried to highlight the tragedy of such stories being as how it did happen to my friend and happened to many people I didn’t know who have come forward and confided in me through the power of music. So I just want to say that you are not alone. Do you. It’s the best place to be.

What is your current dating situation and how do past ones continue to influence your music?

That’s a tough question. My pen doesn’t hide, so I guess through music you can see where I’ve been and where I’ve been going. For me I’m just enjoying it late night and early mornings.

What do you like about Mo’Nique?

That she’s so familiar, and I mean that in every sense of the word. She’s family. She’s someone’s aunt, someone’s cousin. She makes you feel that comfortable. I want her to be my midwife or something because I think I would be OK with labor pains if she was there telling me I could do it. "Push!" She’s that cool like she’s that sh*t, and I love her just because she’s herself 100 percent. Love it.
