what is truth, mr. west? in the connotative question ask to the lord by pilate, is it worth dying for? your life is an inspiration, your writing is immortal (race matters/ democracy matters), and as a future african american male educator, you are a model of excellence for us all. thank you and truth is worth dying for!

dr. west, i congratulate you on this honor. i had the opportunity of meeting you in 2004 and i agree with your theology. you were a major influence in my decision to obtain my ph.d. here at the mecca. bet interviewed me at howard university concerning your award. i hope my comments express at least a percentage of our respect and appreciation for you and your work.
