If a tornado picked you up and dropped you on an island, what couldn’t you live without?

Clean water? Matches? Sustainable food? Lipstick? Yeah, we said "lipstick."

According to a recent survey conducted by CoverGirl, 43 percent of 1,000 women surveyed said that lipstick is the one beauty item they couldn’t live without if they were isolated in the middle of nowhere.

So what came in second? The cosmetics company found that 23 percent couldn't live without their foundation (coverage is real y'all).

In addition, they also found that 65 percent admitted that that they take more than one selfie before posting it to social media. (Which we totally get, by the way. If that filter ain’t right, you gotta redo it.) Interestingly enough, despite our utter love for makeup, a whopping 59 percent stressed that they felt the most beautiful when they were barefaced. Perhaps, Alicia Keys is on to something.
