Beyoncé Paid a Surprise Visit to the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater in Los Angeles

Her mom Tina Knowles is a mentor there.

Beyoncé may have canceled her Coachella performance next month to focus on having a healthy pregnancy, but she's far from staying away from the spotlight. While she's retiring her unitards and dance shoes for the near future, she's been enjoying her down time by popping up at a number of events around LA.
The latest? A surprise visit to the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater in Los Angeles over the weekend. Beyoncé, who was there to support the dancers and also their mentor, her mother Tina Knowles, was a member of the audience for a matinee performance and posed for pictures with fans after the show.

She even brought along Blue Ivy. The theater's Instgram captioned the picture, "Artists supporting Artists part 2// Beyoncé came to the matinee performance with her daughter Blue Ivy and mother Tina! #threegenerations. They met with the dancers afterwards and we had a Q&A with Tina's Angels. They are all so sweet and supportive of the Ailey company. So much talent in one photograph!"

Clearly, the dancers are overjoyed to take such a special picture.

As Bey's due date inches closer and closer, we can be sure to see less of her in the public eye, so this is a special event indeed.
