See The Dream Dorm Room That Reginae Carter Designed For Herself

The college-bound star shares her tips and tricks with BET.com.

Lil Wayne’s oldest is attending  Clark Atlanta University in the fall and is showing other college-bound kiddos how they can create a glam getaway of their own even if they are on a budget. Reginae Carter teamed up with Walmart for a campaign targeted toward the price-conscious college student who is invested in their personal brand, just like the social-media influencer herself. Bright Bazaar, a top interior design and creative consultant influencer, created a #NextLevelDorm inspired by Reginae’s glam lifestyle using affordable styling tips and tricks that Walmart customers can draw inspiration from.

“I try to base my glam off of what I'm doing for the day and my mood,” Reginae told BET.com. The simple black-and-white color scheme with stripes and polka dots is set off by lights, mirrors and pops of gold. Besides clothes, shoes, hair accessories and lipstick, one of her glam girl essentials for dorm living is a mirror, of course. Not just any mirror either, an ultra-stylish, LED-lit vanity mirror available for just $53.45

BET.com caught up with the Growing Up Hip Hop star about her next phase of school and how she handles the pressures of being an influencer.
BET: What will you be studying at Clark Atlanta?
Reginae Carter: Business and film
BET: What are you looking forward to most?
RC: To find myself and to learn about life.
BET: Being an influencer, especially for other young college students, how do you handle that responsibility?
RC: I'm still learning how. I just try to stay on my P's & Q's and stay focused.

BET: Do you think a lot of people are surprised at your decision to attend school?
RC: Yes, because I never really thought about college until the middle of my senior year.

BET: Why?

RC: Because I felt like it could be difficult attending college while I pursue my career in acting and entertainment. I decided to attend because I want to be educated in the business of entertainment and also be able to run my own businesses someday.

BET: How do your parents feel about their little girl going off to college?

RC: They love it! They're proud of me. It's really all about my happiness with my parents. If I'm happy; they're elated!

BET: Finish this sentence: Every college dorm room needs…
RC: ...a comfortable bed.
