One of the most respected and sought-after producers in hip hop, Patrick Douthit, best known as 9th Wonder, is known for his use of soulful samples and funky baselines. His distinctive style has taken him from the main beat-maker for fellow North Carolinian Little Brother to a mega-producer for stars like Jay-Z, Chris Brown, Destiny's Child and Erykah Badu. 9th Wonder is also a rapper, record label executive and hip hop professor who's taught at North Carolina Central University and Duke. Currently he is working on a three-year research project at Harvard. In 2013, in addition to his works at Harvard, the producer worked on a collaborative album titled Where Do I Come From? with Talib Kweli.
