In 1979, Angie Stone made her debut as one-third of the ‘80s rap group the Sequence and the soul-singing veteran has been rolling ever since. 1999’s Black Diamond marked her advent as a solo artist, including her hit single “No More Rain (In This Cloud).” Four albums and over five million record sales later the neo-soul talent has not only conquered the music industry, but the acting world as well; with parts in films like The Fighting Temptation and The Hot Chick and a lead role in the Broadway musical Chicago. Her latest single, “Do What You Gotta Do,” serves as a teaser to her sixth LP, Rich Girl, which dropped in 2012.
