Singer While this singer (born Bilal Sayeed Oliver) has yet to enter the charts since he debuted 10 years ago, Bilal gets massive respect amongst his music peers and fans, who pack his shows. Blending jazz vocals with neo-soul music, Bilal had a promising debut with the 2001 disc 1st Born Second, which featured production from Dr. Dre. But, because of his unwillingness to go the mainstream route musically, his debut never reached any significant mainstream chart success. The same would go for his shelved sophomore LP, Love For Sale, and his independently-released follow-up, Airtight’s Revenge but, because of his sizable cult following, Bilal continues to tour.
