Bone Thugs-N-Harmony

Rap Group Formed in Cleveland, Ohio, the fivesome (Layzie Bone, Flesh-n-Bone, Bizzy Bone, Wish Bone and Krayzie Bone) was signed by N.W.A member Eazy-E to Ruthless Records, where they proceeded to open hip hop’s boarders to include the Midwest. The release of the 1994 double-platinum EP Creepin On Ah Come Up would put the region’s staccato sing-song, almost doo-wop-inspired rap style on the pop charts. And the debut of Bone’s LP E. 1999 Eternal the following year turned the quartet in the biggest-selling rap group of the mid ‘90s. The death of mentor Eazy-E wouldn’t stop their momentum, as they scored continued multi-platinum success with The Art of War. In 2011, Wish Bone and Krazie Bone announced their departure from the group.
