Rapper Making music since the late '80s, it wasn't until the release of his 1994 debut that Coolio was transformed into an international superstar. A year later, he hit a gold mine with Gangsta's Paradise, with the title track becoming one of the biggest songs of 1995. The success of the song earned him a Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance. He's since released several other albums and starred in reality shows, including Coolio's Rules, which focused on his family, career and love life. Today the funky-styled veteran rapper and occasional actor is still appreciated for his contributions to the music industry and thanks to reality TV, recognized for his top-shelf cooking skills.
