Rapper Making music since the late '80s, it wasn't until the release of his 1994 debut that Coolio was transformed into an international superstar. A year later, he hit a gold mine with Gangsta's Paradise, with the title track becoming one of the biggest songs of 1995. The success of the song earned him a Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance. He's since released several other albums and starred in reality shows, including Coolio's Rules, which focused on his family, career and love life.
