Athlete Derrick Rose was selected first in the 2008 NBA draft by his hometown Chicago Bulls. He was voted Rookie of the Year in 2009 and became an All-Star in 2010. Rose played for the University of Memphis Tigers, where he helped the team reach a national championship in 2008. The NCAA later vacated the team's season when an investigation into Rose's SAT scores revealed that he should have been ruled ineligible to play.
