Eazy E

Rapper/Producer Eric "Eazy-E" Wright was the leader of the trailblazing gangster rap group N.W.A. As the founder of Ruthless Records, he released N.W.A's multiplatinum album Straight Outta Compton, which included the controversial single "F--- the Police." The group found itself at the center of protests and censorship debates. N.W.A. was comprised of Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, DJ Yella, MC Ren, Arabian Prince and Eazy. After four successful alsbums, the group broke up in 1991, with Dr. Dre and Cube publicly fueding with Eazy over what they felt were unfair payments. In 1995, Eazy died of AIDS-related complications.
