Flavor Flav

Rapper/Reality TV Star Famously known as the hypeman/comic relief MC of Public Enemy, Flavor Flav (born William Drayton Jr.) has grown from hip hop superstar to beloved pop personality.   During the heyday of PE’s reign, the Long Island, N.Y.-born rapper delivered classic rhymes of humor and social consciousness like “911 is a Joke” and “Can’t Do Nuttin’ For Ya Man.” Unfortunately, his well-publicized bouts with drug addiction were also a contradiction to the group’s anti-drug stance. A stint on VH1’s hit reality show The Surreal Life transformed Flavor into a reality TV star, first on Strange Love (with Brigitte Nielsen) and then on Flavor of Love. He’s also responsible for a fried chicken restaurant in Iowa that closed four months after it opened in 2011.
