Known as the Godfather of House Music, DJ Frankie Knuckles is respected as one of the pioneers of the Chicago-born dance genre. His hi-hat heavy mixes have kept clubs jumping from Chi-town to the U.K., and have earned him the Grammy Award for Remixer of the Year, Non-Classical in 1997. His contributions to feel-good music have also garnered a Chicago street named in his honor and induction into the Dance Music Hall of Fame in 2005.
