Raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Gabrielle Dennis attended Howard University where she earned a degree in theater. Dennis' first acting role came in 1990 in the television movie A Mom for Christmas, starring Olivia Newton-John. From 1998 to 2000, she served as host of the BET pioneering talk show for teenagers, Teen Summit. She went on to play in several independent films until landing the role of Janay in The Game in 2008. In 2009 while the CW seriesThe Game was in negotations to bring it back on BET, she had roles in the direct-to-DVD film Bring It On: Fight to the Finish, Hollywood Horror, and The Marc Please Experience starring Ben Stiller. Besides her role in The Game you can also catch her as Denise Roy on Spike TV's Blue Mountain State.  Dennis can also be seen in a 2011 commercial for Statefarm Insurance, also starring Selita Ebanks.
