Rapper A legend in the hip hop game, Keith Edward Elam, best known as Guru, is remembered for his lethal rhymes and potent music. As both a soloist and one-half of Gang Starr (alongside DJ Premier), the Boston-born MC released nearly a dozen albums over the course of his 20 year career. In April 2010, the rap veteran died from cardiac arrest and complications with cancer. Respected by fans, musicians and critics alike, Guru's legacy lives on.
