Helene D. Gayle, M.D., M.P.H., is the president and CEO of CARE USA, as well as a member of a top notch humanitarian aid organization called CARE International, which fights against global poverty. Prior to her position at CARE USA, Gayle served as the director of the HIV, TB and Reproductive Health Program at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. She also served 20 years at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), with a primary concentration on HIV/AIDS. Gayle was chair of the Obama administration’s Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS.
