Jean Love Crush is a journalist and author known for her work advocating for the progress of inner-city Black boys. Prior to becoming a journalist and author, Cush served as a family law attorney for three years, a position in which she was able to help low-income battered women escape domestic violence. She is also the author of Endangered, a novel which stemmed from her experiences helping young men. The story explores violence, race and the criminal justice system from the perspective of an African-American mother.
