Jesse Jackson Jr.

Politician Jesse Louis Jackson Jr. is a member of the US House of Representatives in Illinois’ 2nd congressional district. A native of Chicago and son of famed activist Jesse Jackson Sr., he was a candidate for Barack Obama’s seat in the Senate after the President resigned his position upon election in 2008. The democratic representative is married to Sandie Jackson, an alderman on the Chicago City Council, and is the co-author/author of three books, including the semi-autobiographical A More Prefect Union: Advancing New American Rights.
