Singer/Songwriter/Actor The three-time Grammy winning soul singer has been hailed as one of the most dynamic voices of R&B. Hailing from Philadelphia, she met ?uestlove, with whom she co-wrote the song “You Got Me,” which was recorded by The Roots and Erykah Badu. A former spoken-word artist, Scott toured with a Canadian production of the hit musical Rent, and later won praise for her roles in the HBO series No.1 Ladies Detective Agency and Tyler Perry’s film Why Did I Get Married?  This multitalented performer also performed at the 2011 BET Awards.
