Jim Jones

Rapper Half Puerto Rican, Half Aruban and 100% Harlem, Jones has repped Uptown to the utmost, first as a member of the Cam’Ron-led rhyme collective Dipset, and later as a solo artist with undeniable swagger. Jones has since formed his own Byrdgang crew and dabbled in acting as well. His biggest hit to date is 2008’s “We Fly High”—a lyrical shot at Jay-Z, who responded with a song of his own using the same beat—which had the entire hip hop nation hitting fake jump shots every time they heard Jones’ trademark catchphrase: “Ballin!’” In 2011, fans got a chance to see Jones’ softer side when he appeared on the VH1 reality series Love & Hip Hop with his mom, Nancy, and fiancée Chrissy Lampkin.  During that time, Jimmy also released his fifth studio album, Capo, which featured Raekwon, Prodigy and Ashanti.
