Jon Huntsman

Jon Huntsman Jr. is the former Utah governor (2004-2008) and ambassador to China under the Obama administration. In broad capacities, he has served four U.S. presidents. He was White House Staff Assistant under Ronald Reagan. He was George H.W. Bush’s Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce and Ambassador to Singapore. He also served as President George W. Bush’s Deputy United States Trade Representative. During his second term as governor of Utah, Huntsman resigned to accept the post as Ambassador to China in 2009. In June of 2011, he announced his candidacy for the Republican presidential nomination.
