Jumping The Broom

Directed by The Game's Executive Producer Salim Akil, and starring Angela Bassett, Paula Patton, Laz Alonso and Loretta Devine, Jumping The Broom explores comedic aspects of African-American social wars in the backdrop of a wedding. Jason Taylor (Alonso) and Sabrina Watson (Patton) are young, in love and getting ready for beautiful nuptials at Martha’s Vineyard. The Taylors, led by matriarch (Devine) are downtown, down home people, while the Watsons and mother of the bride (Bassett) represent the uptown bougie set. The two families continually clash over differences of class. The film also stars Meagan Good, Tasha Smith, Romeo,  Mike Epps and The Game’s Pooch Hall. It hit theaters on May 6, 2011.
