Karen Clark Sheard first made her mark in the music industry as a member of the legendary Clark Sisters. The group enjoyed a string of hit records and their success peaked in the 1980s and 1990s. Sheard, who began singing at age 7, started her solo career in 1997 with the album, Finally Karen…Live after working with the likes of Kirk Franklin and Hezekiah Walker.
