One of the founding members of the multiplatinum R&B supergroup Destiny’s Child, Grammy Award winning multi-platinum singer and actress, Kelly Rowland has been grinding since the age of eight when she relocated to Houston, Texas from Atlanta, Georgia. Rowland became a solo star in her own right with “Dilemma,” a chart-topping, Grammy-winning 2002 collaboration with multi-platinum rapper Nelly. She has appeared in a number of sitcoms and feature films, and returned to the top of the charts in 2009 with “When Love Takes Over” produced by David Guetta. Often lending her star power to good causes like AIDS prevention, Rowland recently launched her own charity, I Heart My Girlfriends, an interactive support system for teenage girls struggling with self-esteem and other issues.
