2011 was the year that saw Kirko Bangz transform into one of hip hop's most talked about newbies. His first single, "What Yo Name Iz?," climbed the charts and spawned a remix including Big Sean, Wale and Bun B. But with millions of YouTube views and remixes featuring some of the industry's hottest emcees, "Drank in My Cup" became a career-defining smash. Currently enrolled at Prairie View A&M University, the Houston rapper released his fifth mixtape, Progression 2: A Young Texas Playa, earlier this year.
