Lalah Hathaway

Singer The daughter of legendary soul singer Donny Hathaway, Lalah has carried her father's tradition of musical brilliance while forging an honorable legacy of her own. In 1990, she released her stirring self-titled debut and has been tantalizing the music industry ever since. A classically trained vocalist, her smooth contralto has garnered praise and earned her a Best R&B Performance award for her chilling contribution to Snarky Puppy's "Something" at the 2014 Grammys. She won her second Grammy in 2015 in the category of Best Traditional R&B Performance for “Jesus Children w/ Robert Glasper Experiment & Malcolm-Jamal Warner.” (Photo: Monty Brinton/CBS via Getty Images)
