Lil' Mama

Niatia Kirkland (aka Lil’ Mama) is a New York-based female rapper who caught the attention of hip hop audiences with her catchy song “Lip Gloss.” The record became the lead single to her 2008 album VYP (Voice of the Young People). Her album was not a commercial success, selling just 18,000 in its debut week. However, her choreographed dance routines and outspoken attitude landed her a role as judge on the sixth season of the MTV show America’s Best Dance Crew.
