Loretta Devine


Legendary screen, TV and stage actress Loretta Devine is a five-time NAACP Image Award winner who has portrayed beloved, unforgettable characters for over 30 years. The Houston native originated the role of Lorrell in the six-time Tony award winning Broadway production of Dreamgirls. Devine played Gloria Matthews in 1995’s Waiting To Exhale and as the character Juanita, was apart of the all-star ensemble cast of 2010’s For Colored Girls. Her guest starring roles in several hit TV series include Cold Case, Everybody Hates Chris, Grey’s Anatomy and Glee. Devine received an Independent Spirit Award nomination for her role in the film, Woman Thou Art Loosed.
