Singer/Songwriter Raised in Toronto by West Indian parents, Melanie Fiona Hallim grew up surrounded by a soulful blend of R&B, reggae, soca, and calypso. She broke into the American musical scene with her Grammy-nominated 2009 single “It Kills Me,” from her debut album The Bridge. Crediting Lauryn Hill, Bob Marley and Sade as influences, Fiona is also a songwriter who has worked with Rihanna, John Legend and the Roots.
